When I was admitted to Michigan State University, I was similarly admitted to the university’s Honors College. Due to my active commitment, passion, and dedication to the Honors College, I have received the following scholarships: Honors Commended Award, Honors Distinction Award, the Adams Scholarship, and the Alumni Distinguished Endowed Scholarship.
Because of the Honors College, I have been able to conduct contextualize and analyze historical events and phenomena through the reporting of journalists throughout time along with the evolution of media technologies and political movements. Further, I have become skilled and well-versed in administrative communication, community and student-interest reporting, business/university media management, public relations, marketing, and event planning organizing.
I have since been an incredibly active participant in the Honors College as well. I have held paid positions within the Honors College: Communications Associate (Jan. 2022 – Aug. 2022) and Student Assistant (Aug. 2022 – present).
Below are my other positions.
- Competitor and Communications/PR assistant of the Debate Team. I was awarded a Debate Team Scholarship and the Waldron Debate Award.
- Secretary and UCHP Representative of the Honors College Dean’s Advisory Board (Aug. 2021 – present)
- Green Team Mentor (Aug. 2021-present)
- Honors College Inclusive Excellence Committee (Dec. 2021 – present)
